What is it about being sick and having to work through it? For the last week I have had earaches, sore throat, chest congestion and headaches. Now I'm sad to say that Millie is having the same symptoms! We both toss and turn at night not sleeping well then I get to wake up at 5 to get ready for work. I keep thinking that I will start to feel better but NO......unfortunately not! I have been taking medicine that should be working by now but I am not seeing the benefits of that either.
For me I can manage through this but it breaks my heart to see my baby miserable....
Any suggestions?

Cool humidifier, swab nostrils with neosporin several times a day (especially right before sleeping), Ramen noodles or chicken noodle soup, drink Gatorade (a whole 8 ounces NOT diluted), lots and lots of water, use saline nose spray as often as you can, warm/hot bath or shower, Vicks vapor rub for your chest, take medication for other symptoms regularly through the day-don't forget to take them every 4-6 hours (like Benedryl for runny noses, Tussin for chest congestion/cough, Tylenol or Ibuprofen for fever or pain, etc.) It's no fun, especially when the kids get it and you know how miserable they feel. Remember, we have 2 nurses in our family. I'm ALWAYS calling them for advice. Call me later if you need more suggestions! ; )
Thanks Jen you are a sweetheart! Hopefully tonight Millie and I can get some much needed sleep....
