Quote for the day

"One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone: and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering."

Millie's UT Birthday Party

OK, OK Millie just turned one and you would think that she is the Queen of Sheba. Well isn't she? At least she is around here. And we let her know that with all the hugs and kisses everyday.

So last Sunday we invited our friends over for a barbecue and cake for Millie's birthday. We ate and ate and ate and ate.... Well some of us did, but if your name is Aaron and you had to cook you didn't get to eat as much, sorry that is just part of the job.

Once again Millie would not just plow into her cake, no matter how hard we would try it just wasn't going to happen.

YUMMY!

AZ Trip and Millie's Party

I can not believe that one year has gone by... Amelia Grace celebrated her birthday twice, what a lucky girl. Deborah and I decided to take a quick but very needed trip down to AZ to see family. While we were there we planned a get together with all my aunts, uncles and cousins. It was so much fun to have so many show up. One thing that we have found out about Millie is she does not like to get dirty so "diving" into the cake was not going to happen.

I feel so blessed to have such a loving and wonderful family. I just wish that all my children could have been there that night. David and Colby cooked up a wonderful meal it was very YUMMY!!! I had so much fun visiting with everyone and getting caught up with all that is going on. Millie didn't want for attention the whole night. Everyone just ate her up with hugs and kisses.

Millie wouldn't dive into her cake so we coaxed her.

Saturday we all decided to go out to eat. Like we didn't have enough food at the house but what do you expect when visitors come into town. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and it was delish.... One thing I should mention about Millie is she will stare down the waiter but only if he is good looking..... well I guess he was for her this night. She followed him where ever he went and here is my proof.

"Boy he is so cute!"

What I didn't realize is the size portions that they serve you at this place. I think we could have ordered half and still left with plenty of food. I only say this because my family ate leftovers for several days.

While we were waiting Millie was walking around and she came across the dessert case. "Boy that all looks so good. The night before I could just stick my finger in the cake and taste the yummy treats. I wonder if I can do it again."

"Hey wait a minute guys, this isn't working like I thought that it would. Can anyone help Me?"

"OK since no one is going to come and help maybe I will try just sticking my face in there to get something."

"Oh heck, that didn't work either! Hey mom let's go and get some food!"

Needless to say this was a wonderful trip and VERY SHORT. Well I guess you could say that about any vacation. On the way home we stopped to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. This picture was taken in Flagstaff Arizona. It was just amazing the pasture of bight yellow flowers was so beautiful that we couldn't help but stop to take a picture.

Deborah and Millie were wonderful travel companions and I can't wait for our next Big Adventure!

Thanks for a wonderful trip to Arizona!!!!! We Love and Miss ya'll terribly.
